Say hallo to a bunch of barking huskies that are ready for
action (but still very friendly). You´ll drive the dog sled
by yourself into the white landscapes, through the beautiful
Vass valley- an uninhabited forest landscape surrounded
by majestic mountains.
Upon arrival at our wilderness camp, you´ll receive outdoor
clothes and shoes to keep you warm during your
stay. You will get instructions on how to drive a dog
sledding team by experienced mushers (click here for
instructions).
You will be driving in pairs, one driver and one passenger
on each sled, with the opportunity to switch places half
way. The trails you follow have a total distance of
approximately 10-12 km, and you will be on the sled for
about 1,5-2 hours. At the end of the trail you will return
to Camp Tamok. There you will be served a hot meal and
fresh coffee in the dining lavvu (Sami herdsmen’s tent).
